SAUL SUGARMAN
writer • editor • apparel designer
I’m a longtime apparel designer, event planner, career journalist and writer, finding my niche in gig work after departing several daily newsrooms. Right now I am Editor in Chief of The Bold Italic. My other career highlights:
I wrote an ongoing column for the SF Examiner, covering cocktails and nightlife. I also design, make and manufacture apparel, with accessories worn in music videos, commercials, and on Miley Cyrus.
In 2019, I wrote a book— specifically, a gay Haggadah. Today, I continue to write freelance stories; browse my select published work.
I began my so-called “public face” producing events in San Francisco, mainly in gaming and glow parties, and I still plan things. View snapshots from that life here.
