SAUL SUGARMAN

I’m a longtime apparel designer, event planner, journalist and creative writer, finding my niche in gig work after departing several daily newsrooms. Right now I am editor in chief of The Bold Italic. I’ve held roles at SF Examiner, Bloomberg News and Wall Street Journal, and I have a journalism master’s from University of Hong Kong.

I also design apparel, with accessories worn in music videos, commercials, and on Miley Cyrus. My most recent collection in 2023 was a queer prom.

I continue to freelance today occasionally; browse my select published work. I began my so-called “public face” producing events in San Francisco, mainly in gaming and glow parties, and I still occasionally plan events.
